Quotes on achieving goals

“All our dreams can come true — if we have the courage to pursue them.” — Walt Disney

“Dare to believe in your dreams.” – Author Unknown

“The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams– Oprah Winfrey.

“Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.” — Franklin D. Roosevelt

1. Gain clarity on your goals and the action steps to achieve them

Without clarity, it can cause confusion about what you want. Once you are clear about what you want it can be easier to go after and have what you want.

Achieving your goals requires you to be clear about what your goals are. If you are not yet clear, don’t be discouraged. The simple act of wanting to be more clear on what you want is a step to gaining more clarity.

Clarity isn’t discovered or built overnight. At least, it wasn’t for me. Overall, the more clarity you have, the more you will know and be able to take the right action steps to achieve your goals.

Steps to gaining more clarity on your goals:

  1. Practice self-discovery
  2. Invest in your personal development
  3. Go travelling
  4. Journal
  5. Give things a go! Try new things
  6. Imagine! Allow yourself to think and dream big

2. Reverse engineer your goals to achieve them

This strategy for how to achieve your goals is a way to streamline your path to achieving your goals. To streamline means ” to make a strategy, system, or activity more efficient, effective, or straightforward by simplifying or removing unnecessary steps.”

If you want to achieve your goals with a less complex and overwhelming strategy, focus on the needle-moving actions that provide you with the most significant return of time, energy and resources invested. To find out what that is, you will have to analyse your data and feedback to form a conclusion and an action plan progressing forward. To sum it up, focus on the aligned action steps to get you to where you want to be and where you are going.

Steps to Reverse Engineer Your Goals:

One: Know your goal.

Two: Do your research and gain more clarity.

Three: Set your aligned action plan. The right consistent action steps, collection of habits and strategy to get you to where you want to be, to achieve your goals.

Four: Start now. Just start. Start where you are. You won’t get to your point ‘insert number or letter you want to call it’, if you don’t start where you are right now. See your bigger picture and take the necessary, aligned action steps to make progress and get closer towards achieving your goals.

Take steps every day towards your goals and making your dream life a reality!

Positive Affirmations:

  • I am safe to receive the results and the success I want in my life.
  • It’s safe for me to succeed.
  • I believe I can and will achieve my goals. It’s happening for me.
  • My success is certain. Of course I can achieve my dreams.
  • I believe I can and I will!

3. Cultivate self-belief

A big step for how to achieve your goals is cultivating your belief in yourself and your dreams. Achieving your goals takes time but with self-belief, patience and never giving up determination, achieving your goals is inevitable. I’d like to believe.

Cultivating your self-belief can

Steps to cultivate deeper self-belief:

  • Practice self-love and acceptance
  • Face and overcome your fears and challenges
  • Get to really know yourself
  • Have a growth mindset. Strengthen your resilience
  • Live in alignment with true values
  • Practice the inner work
  • Workout

Along with self-belief, self-trust, confidence, trusting in your faith and self-worth are important to develop too.

4. Show up consistently

How to achieve your goals? Stay consistent. This step does’nt mean doing the same thing over and over again if it’s not working, it means consistently showing up to achieve your goals even if that means a change in plans or a different approach.

Furthermore, create the habit of showing up consistently towards your goals. If you don’t have the habit of showing up consistently for your goals, it’s time to form it if you’re committed to going all in this year.

When I first started my Living Her Way blog, in the early stages I felt a lot more resistance to getting things done. It wasn’t that I wasn’t passionate about my writing and the work I was doing, but I hadn’t formed a strong habit of showing up consistently for my goals. Overall, I had to reprioritise my time and retrain my focus so I could consistently show up for my goals.

Showing up for your goals consistently is a key ingredient for achieving them.

Show up ‘messy’, show up tired and when you don’t even feel like showing up. Moreover, get in the habit of not talking yourself out of taking action on your goals. The more you overcome the resistance to showing up consistently the easier it will be to be in flow and more effortless to get the work done & achieve the results you desire to create.

Take responsibility for your goals. Let people support you too.

5. Limit distractions and choose your goals

If you don’t choose your goals and put them first, who’s gonna do it? If you don’t prioritise and manage your time to put your time and effort towards your goals, when will you ever have enough time to do the things that you want to do?

Que mindset shift and change of approach.

How to achieve your goals? Prioritise your time and WHAT you do with your time and energy. I read the book Time Magic by Melisssa Amrosini & Nick Broadhurst and it completely shifted my approach to what I was spending my time on. Additionally, it helped me become more aware of my time so I could intentionally prioritise my time and pursue my dreams.

If you haven’t read the book, I highly recommend it so that you can audit where you are spending your time and what on. When you are aware of which habits are no longer serving you and not supporting you to achieve the goals that you truly desire, it’s up to you to change your approach.

How to limit your distractions and choose your goals:

  • Become clear on your why
  • Focus
  • Prioritise your time- Put your goals first
  • Show up
  • Review where and what you are spending your time on
  • Set & maintain boundaries. You can limit and say no to energy drainers and focus on what brings you to life!/ gives you energy

If you don’t intentionally put your goals first, your time, energy, attention and focus will be spent on other things. If you’re all in to achieve your goals this year, reclaim your time, focus and energy to put towards your goals.

Your dreams don’t work unless you do right?

“What you put in is what you’ll get out.”

Lastly, create a daily plan, and systems and organise your life around achieving what you set out to achieve and create for yourself! If there’s a will there is always a way!

Journal Prompt:

Am I choosing to invest my time, energy and focus on what matters to me, what I value and doing what’s most important to me? If not, what changes can I start making today? What bigger changes can I make? Reminder: They can be gradual changes!

6. Choose Courage

Last, but certainly not least, choose courage.

Choose courage and trust over fear daily!

Take risks ( and calculated ones 😉), trust the process, share good vibes and smile.

Gentle reminders to help you achieve your goals:

  • When something is working, let it grow. If something is working and going right, why change it?
  • Remember, achieving your goals and having fun don’t have to be two separate things!
  • Practice self-awareness when ‘shiny object syndrome’ shows up
  • Don’t wait! Start today. now.
  • Focus on what matters to you most
  • Realign and stay focused
  • Show up consistently
  • Believe in miracles
  • Live in alignment with your true values and what matters most to you 💕
  • When it comes to achieving your goals some things really are a mind over matter thing. You’ll be surprised about how much you can achieve when you push further than what you originally thought you could achieve. Raise the bar and allow yourself to reach new expansive heights at your own pace!

BONUS mindset shift: If you find yourself having the thought, ‘I could be elsewhere doing something else like catching up with my friends at the beach’ while you’re taking action towards your goals; try shifting your mindset to, “This is the most important thing I could be doing right now.”
